We supply and service residential and nursing homes throughout Leicester City and County. We can supply in various medicine management systems, however we widely use and recommend the Manrex system. According to the Commission for Social Care Inspection in February 2006, nearly half of all care homes in the UK were failing to meet minimum standards for managing medicines prescribed by GPs our administration systems and staff training ensure all our homes meet national criteria.

The Manrex System
The Manrex system is ideal for patients who have difficulty with medication compliance. We prepare each Manrex blister to contain all the oral solid mediations for each major medication administration time of the day.
The Manrex sytem allows us to pack medication in an easy to use blister pack and above all ensure on time safe administration of medication.

The Community Blister Pack
The simple, but highly effective, 28-day unit dose punch card, is assembled at the pharmacy in accordance with the instructions of the GP and delivered to the care home for administration just like the Manrex system above.
However this system is totally disposable and almost entirely made form bio degradable card. Due to the nature and format of this system it is much lighter and more portable than the Manrex system which makes this a popular choice for some. It also can be stored easily and doesn’t require heavy metal holders or plastic bindings.
