Storage

We store all our wine in Bond with Vinotheque Limited in Burton-Upon-Trent:

Vinotheque is a 19th century grade II listed industrial building, with metre-thick red brick walls ensuring constant and steady temperature, cool enough to ensure the precious property within remains unaffected by the fluctuating weather patterns that affect the outside world. The temperature and humidity within Vinotheque are close to ideal. Insulation, airflow and natural light shuttering make certain that wines develop in a carefully controlled atmosphere. Constant monitoring ensures that all wines from inexpensive table wines to top Château Claret are kept and matured in ideal conditions
All wine entrusted to Vinotheque is automatically insured "All risks" to full replacement cost. The cost of the premium is included within the storage charge; more importantly unexplained loss is also covered. Cover extends to delivery provided by their service and any subcontractors they use.

By storing your collection “in-bond”, there is no duty or VAT to pay. London City Bond is approved by HM Revenue and Customs, for both in-bond and duty paid storage. Furthermore, in the event of transportation from one Government bonded warehouse to another, you will be pleased to know that all transitions are hassle free too and import duty, VAT and specific expenses are not incurred – for further information or guidance please come and enquire at our offices in Kent or call on the direct line provided.

We offer each client the option of opening a sub account within our account.  This being the case we will open the sub account in the name of their choosing, with a sub account code.  Each client will then receive full documentation with each wine and its rotation number.  This account will be sent to them on request and when any selling, or buying is completed.

Any client may open an account in their name, which we will aid in doing.  Individual accounts are opened either as limited insurance up and until £7,500, or unlimited.
